Rakowicki Cemetery before the war! Was it as impressive as it is today? [GALLERY]

Rakowicki Cemetery is one of the oldest and most beautiful memorial sites in Krakow—a space where the history of the city and the fate of its inhabitants intertwine at every turn, a bridge between what was and what is. The National Digital Archives contain many remarkable photographs showing Rakowicki Cemetery in its former form — closer to nature, less orderly. We present ten of them — ten frames that allow us to glimpse into the past of this place, before it was changed by successive decades of history.
